Shawn Pardue is certified in Learning Disabilities K-12, Elementary Education K-8, and Middle School Science Education. She majored in Science Education and minored in English Language Arts and Psychology as an undergrad at Wayne State University. Ms. Pardue is currently enrolled in the Special Education – Inclusion Specialist post master program at University of Michigan.

Ms. Pardue loves the Arts and loves being around people involved in the Arts; she believes that art influences people to mature and to be open to ideas. When in high school, she took honors drawing classes at Wayne State and also studied dance. The drawing and painted evolved into Ms. Pardue becoming a gardener. Gardening is one of her favorite things to do. She studied dance for twenty-five years and was a founding member of the Portland Dance Collective in Portland, OR. Ms. Pardue loves to read. She was on the board of Directors for the Wayne State Storytelling Festival and is currently a professional story teller. She also enjoys traveling and taking pictures.
