Jennie Brady: Mathematics

Jennie Brady has had the privilege of teaching at Arts Academy in the Woods since the fall of 2006.  Mrs. Brady has always had a love for math.  It was during her own high school experience that she decided that education was the right career for her.

Mrs. Brady earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Originally from Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Brady moved to Michigan after meeting and marrying the love of her life, David Brady, while attending college.  Together, they have two boys, George and James.

Mrs. Brady oversees the afterschool mathematics tutoring program and is also involved in AAW’s weekly assemblies.  Mrs. Brady along with Nathan Montgomery, guitar instructor, hold auditions and setup the schedule for each week’s display of student talent.  She especially enjoys being involved with this aspect of the school as it allows her the opportunity to share her own love of the arts.

Most recently, Mrs. Brady and Mr. Montgomery have taken on the challenge to market the school to the surrounding community.  It is their desire to draw in students who have interests in the arts and a desire to learn in an environment that allows the arts and academics to mix.
